CRACK

Created during my artist residency at L’Élabo in Rennes, France, the Crack collection emerged from encounters and exchanges exploring identity, difference, and the relationship between the individual and society.

This experience led me to reflect on resistance to conformity and the tensions that arise when individuals choose to exist beyond established norms.

In this collection, the face becomes the focal point of each composition. It emerges from the material, suspended between appearance and disappearance, while a multitude of fragmented forms evokes the presence of a crowd. Two entities confront one another: the individual in their singularity and the collective, shaped by judgment and mechanisms of exclusion.

Through gesture, layering, and the deconstruction of forms, I seek to express the invisible fracture between the self and the gaze of others. The title Crack refers to this fissure, a line of rupture running through human relationships and revealing the tensions between personal identity and collective norms.

Between figuration and abstraction, the material becomes a space of confrontation where forms dissolve, transform, and seek their own equilibrium.

Crack is part of my broader exploration of identity and its metamorphoses, questioning the place of the individual within a world that constantly seeks to define them.
